 আমার স্ত্রী আমার পাশে ঘুমাচ্ছিল।

তখন হঠাৎ আমার ফেসবুকে একটা নোটিফিকেশন পেলাম, একজন মহিলা আমাকে এড করতে চাচ্ছেন। তাই আমি তাকে যোগ করেছি। আমি ফ্রেন্ড রিকোয়েস্ট অ্যাকসেপ্ট করে একটা মেসেজ পাঠিয়েছিলাম, "আমরা কি একে অপরকে চিনি?"

তিনি উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন: "আমি শুনেছি আপনি বিয়ে করেছেন কিন্তু আমি এখনও আপনাকে ভালবাসি।"

সে অতীতের বন্ধু ছিল। ছবিতে তাকে খুব সুন্দর লাগছিল। আমি আড্ডা বন্ধ করে আমার স্ত্রীর দিকে তাকালাম, সে তার ক্লান্তিকর দিনের কাজ শেষে নিশ্চিন্তে ঘুমাচ্ছে।

তার দিকে তাকিয়ে, আমি ভাবছিলাম সে কীভাবে এত নিরাপদ বোধ করছে যে সে আমার সাথে সম্পূর্ণ নতুন বাড়িতে এত আরামে ঘুমাতে পারে।

সে তার পিতামাতার বাড়ি থেকে অনেক দূরে, যেখানে তিনি তার পরিবার দ্বারা ঘেরা ২৪ ঘন্টা কাটিয়েছেন। যখন সে মন খারাপ করত বা দুঃখ পেত, তার মা সেখানে ছিলেন যাতে তিনি তার কোলে কাঁদতে পারেন। তার বোন বা ভাই জোকস বলত এবং তাকে হাসাতেন। তার বাবা বাড়িতে এসে তার পছন্দের সবকিছু নিয়ে আসতেন। এবং এখনও, তিনি আমার উপর এত বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছেন।

এই সব চিন্তা মাথায় এলো তাই ফোনটা তুলে "BLOCK" চাপলাম।

আমি তার দিকে ফিরে তার পাশে শুয়ে পড়লাম।

আমি একজন মানুষ, শিশু নই। আমি তার প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত থাকার শপথ নিয়েছি এবং তাই হবে। আমি এমন একজন মানুষ হওয়ার জন্য চিরকাল লড়াই করব যে তার স্ত্রীর সাথে প্রতারণা করবে না এবং একটি পরিবারকে ছিন্ন করবে না।

My wife was sleeping next to me.  Then suddenly I got a notification on my Facebook, a woman wants to add me.  So I added him.  I accepted the friend request and sent a message, "Do we know each other?"

 He replied: "I heard you got married but I still love you."

 He was an old friend.  She looked very beautiful in the picture.  I stopped chatting and looked at my wife, who was sleeping soundly after her tiring day's work.

 Looking at her, I wondered how she felt so safe that she could sleep so comfortably in a brand new home with me.

 He is far from his parents' house, where he spends 24 hours surrounded by his family.  When he was upset or sad, his mother was there so he could cry in her arms.  His sister or brother would tell jokes and make him laugh.  Her father used to come home and bring everything she liked.  And yet, he put so much faith in me.

 All these thoughts came to mind so I picked up the phone and pressed "BLOCK".

 I turned to her and lay down next to her.

 I am a man, not a child.  I have sworn to be faithful to him and so shall it be.  I will fight forever to be a man who won't cheat on his wife and tear up a family.
